Nevertheless, by weaning off the T3 therapy and starting another cycle, patients are often able to get their temperatures up on much lower doses (which are easier to keep steady). Thus, with patients often requiring less and less medicine on subsequent cycles than they did on previous ones, they are often able to wean off the T3 therapy completely with their temperature and symptoms remaining improved.
