Hyperthyroidism (Grave's
Disease) Case Study
Dr Friedman used CardiaCare in a patient with
- Severe Grave's Disease
- Very abnormal EKG (left myocardial hypertrophy, bundle
branch block, tachycardia, and premature ventricular contractions)
After taking the CardiaCare the EKG came out completely normal
after about three months. The bundle branch block was gone,
the left myocardial hypertrophy was gone, the tachycardia
was gone.
What's really remarkable is that she had opted against surgery
or radiation and had had Grave's Disease for four years. She
had chosen to do nothing.
When she came to see Dr Friedman her blood pressure was 248
over 110, with a pulse rate over 105. After doing three months
of those herbs, her echocardiogram came back basically normal
with only one mild abnormality and the impression from the
cardiologist was she had normal cardiac function. The hospital
which did the test couldn't believe that she had hyperthyroidism
because they could never imagine a heart which looked so normal
in someone who was so hyperthyroid.
She was given CardiaCare (1 tsp three times a day) and our
HTN 180 (2 capsules three times a day for high blood pressure).
She refused all prescription drugs. She didn't want to go
that route.
- Within four days her blood pressure had gone down to 180/95
- Within one month it was 160/90
- Within two months it maintained itself at about 140/85
to 150/85.
- Now it's about a 140/80.
The main reason she went to see Dr Friedman was intense palpitations.
She said she couldn't sleep at night because her heart was
pounding so much. She had palpitations for five years and
now after six months of treatment she has no palpitations.
She was also given our ThyroCalm (for hyperthyroidism) so
her T3 levels started going down.
- She came in with T
3 of 900
- a month after she started the treatment it went down to
about 700-800. (Since she had had hyperthyroidism for four
or five years it didn't turn around in just one month but
since her heart symptoms and blood pressure were so much
better she stuck with it).
- after four months it went down to about 600 or so
- Dr Friedman suspects she'll be normal in another four
or five months.
